In the heart of war-torn Liberia, Yassah Ford leads a group of 60 determined, optimistic women in the revitalization of a community. They use basic farm implements to raise local crops, supplying their families and building a new economic means of independence. It’s women who stopped the civil war in Liberia and it’s women (like Yassah) who are rebuilding a good and peaceful nation. Yassah’s Sisters want these women to know they are not alone ... and we’re putting more than words behind them. We kicked off our first round of support with a party in early September. We enjoyed live music, special guests from Liberia and more. We’ll also made a video message to Yassah (and she’ll send one in return).
